Just last night, we brought you a set of spy shots of a camouflage-free (well, sans the tail lamps) of the next iteration of the Volkswagen Golf Variant, which depending on the country you reside in, may also be called Golf Wagon, Golf Estate or Jetta SportWagen.
Regardless of the name, it's the same car and we now have pictures (likely digitally enhanced by VW) of the final production version.
The design is a cleaner and sharper evolution of the current model with a better-looking rear end. We don't have any images of the interior, but it's a given that it will be identical to the Golf Mk7 hatchback, with which it shares its (elongated) MQB platform architecture and engine range.
In Europe, for example, buyers should be able to order the Golf Variant with several petrol engines, such as a 1.2-liter TSI 104hp (105PS), a 1.4-liter TSI 120hp (122PS) and a 1.4-liter TSI 138hp (140PS) with Active Cylinder Technology, and at least two diesels, the 1.6-liter TDI 104hp (105PS) and a new 2.0-liter TDI 148hp (150PS unit).
For precise details, we will have to wait for a VW release.
